Q: iTunes is using 2 Music folders, how to consolidate?
My iTunes files are organized into a folder called Music. Within this folder I see lots of other folders for all the albums in iTunes.
Within this Music folder is another Music folder that also contains lots of folders for albums, many of which are duplicated in the previous Music folder.
But even though there are duplicate folders for albums, the songs within are not duplicated and seem to be spread among those two folders. Here's an example:
Music
Album One
Song 1
Song 2
Song 4
Song 6
Music
Album One
Song 3
Song 5
As shown above, the Album One folder is in two different places, but, the songs seem to be scattered between both. They appear fine in iTunes, I can see all the songs for the entire album.
I'm not sure how this happened, but, is there any way to clean up this file structure so that I can remove the Music folder nested within the primary Music folder and keep everything better organized?
Thanks,
Tom
