Loading Windows 7 pro 64 bit on mid-2007 MacBook via Boot Camp and after partitioning, I get a black text screen with two options but keyboard doesn't work. Are there some support files I need first to make sure keyboard will operate during the Windows loading phase?

Move your mouse cursor into the installer's window and click.
Windows 7 64 bit will not work on your computer.

I didn't get a screen that even had a mouse cursor. The subsequent post did answer my question, I was trying to install a 64 bit version which was not supported. Thanks for your input nonetheless.
