MacBook won't start up

Hi I have a MacBook and when I switch it on it beeps and I can hear it running but it sticks on the apple startup white screen with the circle just constantly spinning around. Any ideas????? Xx

What is the pattern of beeps?

Beeps on startup:

1 beep = no RAM installed

2 beeps = incompatible RAM types

3 beeps = no good banks

4 beeps = no good boot images.

5 beeps = processor is not usable
