It means iTunes recently tried to update itself and the update didn't go smoothly. There are a couple of supporting packages that get installed alongside iTunes and the problem is most likely with one of them which is why repairing iTunes in the programs and features control panel doesn't fix it. You'll need to follow the steps in the second box, everything else is there for further support if required.

Thank you for the reply. So far nothing has worked so I either need to uninstall/reinstall or try the older version 11.1.3. Before I uninstall/reinstall I need to know if I will lose my music library. Thanks.

It is all covered in the user tip Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. Your library is safe, but you ought to back it up anyway. You will need to uninstall iTunes and all related components, reboot, delete what remains of the named folders, then reinstall. If you get stuck I'll be happy to try to help but most potential issues are already discussed in the tip.

I'm sure that's what happened to my computer causing me the issues with the error message MSVCR80.dll. I fixed it using your troubleshooting paper, (worked perfectly too) but that has me thinking, could there be something elected on iTunes allowing it to auto update that I should find and turn off?? I want to avoid this from happening again.

I had the same issue, and had over 400 full albums in my iTunes library that took me over a year to upload myself.  I did not want to uninstall and delete for fear of losing that huge library (which is on an external hard drive by itself). But I followed tt2's tips line by line. And it fixed the problem!! I've been trying to do computer restores for days. No telling. And I'm not a technical person at all. So follow the outlined steps and you will be amazed how you can fix this yourself. On,y took an hour for it all too. Good luck
