How to print from the internet

I can't print from iPad. I'm connected to my iPhone's hot spot and every time I try connect to my printer it says my printer isn't connected to the internet, but if I use my iPhone to print I can print automatically with no password. What is wrong, are you not able to print through iPad as a hot spot connection?

Thanks for the question. You are correct. The iPad needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your AirPrint Printer:

A Wi-Fi capable AirPrint printer must be connected to the same home Wi-Fi network as the iOS device or Mac. See this article for an overview on connecting a Wi-Fi capable printer to your Wi-Fi network.
