Do OSx 10.8 Mail Rules Apply in Other Mailboxes?

Do the rules I create in Mail apply to messages in mailboxes other than the inbox?

Speciffically;

If I create a rule to immedeately move messages from a particular sender to a mailbox I create for messages from that sender, can I create another rule to delete messages from that sender (that are now in that sender's mailbox) that are more than 120 days old?
