My Apple TV has been updating for a day and a half. What do I do now?

I began updating my Apple TV and it has been preparing the update for over a day. It appears to be stuck and no controls on the remote are functioining.

Any suggestions?

Should I unplug and start over?

Apple TV, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
