My Apple TV will not work with my TV.

My Apple TV (3rd Generation) will not work with my 'Bush' TV. When the Apple TV is plugged into a HDMI slot a message appears on the screen saying

"Can not display this mode. Change computer display input to 1360x768 at 60hz."

I have tried resetting the box using two methods, one being manually on the screen/settings (as the Apple TV will work on other televisions like and 'LG'), and by holding down both the 'Menu' and 'down' button on my remote, yet this message still appears.

Does anyone know what this means, and how to overcome this situation?
