Q: how can files be uploaded to itunes Auther?

i have my book already done in PDF ibooks and Epub how can i upload it to Ibooks auther and than publish

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

The iBookstore does not accept pdf, so you should use the epub format. There is no point in redoing everything in Books Author, just go through the procedures for getting an account and submit your book via iTunes Producer.

iBooks Author allows Chapters from Pages and /or MS Word to be imported.

Can you convert your ePub to one or the other, although as Tom says... its as easy to deliver your ePub using iTunes Producer.
