My iPhone 5s deletes apps on its own.

My iPhone 5s deletes random apps on its own (including the ios calculator). They are no longer on the phone (nor are they on a different screen, sub-folder, or anywhere else unfortunately). When trying to re-install missing apps, they show downloading, but disappear again once download is complete. Initially, I could get the apps to show up and function again by "deleting" them off the app list in settings, and re-installing from a iTunes sync. This doesn't do the trick anymore, and it is progressively getting worse (the latest round of deleting took away the ios calculator, something that normally can't be deleted).

Hard resets don't fix it, nor does resetting the home screen. Tried both of those many times.

Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?

If applications are missing or unusable on your iPhone, I recommend backing up and restoring the device as new:

After restoring your iPhone as new, you may want to use the phone for a period of time before restoring from a backup. This will help to verify that the issue is resolved. If the phone is behaving normally, you can also download past purchases and set up iCloud again on your device instead of restoring from a backup:
