How can I have my photos only on my mac but not on my iPad & iPhone

Can I turn of a airplay on my iPad and iPhone to stop all the photos building up on my phone and iPad. Will they still remain on my Mac

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.4

AirPlay has absolutely nothing to do with photos. It is a way to send music (and/or video) from iPhone or iPad to a home entertainment system.

Photos can stay on your Mac without going to the iPhone if you set up the sync rules to do this behavior in iTunes on your computer.

The other photo sharing mechanism is Photo Stream, which you can turn off if you wish.
