Does anyone know why my ipod nano (7th gen) won't connect to my iTunes?

It seems as if I am not the only one having the problem. I have tried all the suggestions iTunes has offered and nothing has worked. I am starting to think it's just their ****** new update but it's been like this for almost a month and they still haven't come out with a new update to fix this problem. Does anyone know any other way to fix it??
