how can I delete and block all null advertising from my email?

I am recieving email advertising from various vendors, but apparently from one source called "null". Have I allowed a virus in? How can I remove and block "null advertising" from my email. I've been trying to unsubscribe from each advertisement, individually, but this seems to be a never ending chore. Is there a method of deleting and blocking that source in one procedure?

This is not due to a virus, or any other kind of malware. You're just getting spam. Spam often comes from faked senders, and obviously someone is for some reason faking the name "null." If you clicked a link in the spam to remove yourself from your list, you really just confirmed that there is a human at that address who reads spam and clicks links in it... thus, your address is now an even bigger target.

Stop responding to it in any way, and simply mark it as spam. If you're using Mail, turn on the junk filtering options in Mail -> Preferences -> Junk Mail, and then mark messages as spam using Message -> Mark -> As Junk Mail. Eventually it will learn to identify what you consider to be spam and will filter most of it out automatically.
