Q: Problem in USB plug-in

Hi,

I recently bought an iphone 5s. When I plug the device into my laptop (Lenovo X201s), I get the following message:

"Device driver software was not successfully installed

MTP USB Device     x Failed"

The phone doesn't charge, cannot be explored, backed-up or synced. Can someone please assist?
