Feb 24, 2014 4:05 AM in response to Paulzzr1400by lllaass,WhatsApp is iPhone-only app and will not install on an iPad.
PhotoStream will will only give yo the last 30 days of photos
If yo sing the iPad into the same iCloud account as the phone then you will get Contacts. Calendar, Notes and Reminders.
You can aldo get thos by on a computer browser going to icloud.com and sign in.
You can also restore the iPod from the iPhone backup if the iOS version on the iPad is at least that of the iPhone. that would be all iPad excelt the iPad 1.
iPhone only apps will not be restored on the iPad
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, this is the iPod touch forum

Feb 24, 2014 4:15 AM in response to lllaassby Paulzzr1400,Hi Illaass,
thanks for the information, i have sinced the IPad to the Cloud but it is only an Ipad 1, so running on different IOS versions, i have found my music, but thought i would be able to access all of my photos as i thought they would be stored in the cloud?? but for some reason when i look at my Calendar on the IPad it is blank, with no appointments showing. Can i access my messages that are on my Iphone from my Ipad?? if so how do i do that, as when i open messages on the IPad there is nothing there its just blank.

Feb 24, 2014 4:24 AM in response to Paulzzr1400by lllaass,What if on a computer browser yo go to icloud.com and sing in to same icloud account used on the iPhone?
If you sign the iPad 1 into the same ID used for Messages (Settings>Messages>Send and Receive you can get only new Messages but from other iOS devices, not for non-iPhones, The only way to see old messages would be to restore a compatible iOS devices for the iPhone backup.
The only phtos avaialbe for download from iCloud withour restoreing from backup are PhtoStream ones.

Feb 24, 2014 4:51 AM in response to lllaassby Paulzzr1400,Hi, i signed into ICloud with my Apple ID and password, but when i clicked on contacts it brought up 2 contacts and a picture of the person i bought the IPad from and his calender is blank, so how do i delete his details from the IPad and put my own on. i am very confused as to why i have had 3 of my last taken photos sent to me, my music and nothing else, guess its because i used the IPad at first to sync with the cloud again with my login details and i have found all the apps on my phone but still get his picture.
how do i delete his details from the IPad.
thanks

Feb 24, 2014 5:10 AM in response to Paulzzr1400by lllaass,It sounds like when you purchased the iPad it was not completely erased like it should have been. So it sounds like you merged the previous owner's data with yours.
Best is to erase and start over as new. Otherwise just delete the data that is not yours.
