Safari won't open. Crashes immediately. Tried to reinstall it, no luck. Tried to repair the disk from insall disk. No luck.

    Thanks for all your help. I assumed a clean install would correct the issue and was hoping to avoid it. I may reinstall OS X in a few months or so.

    You have so many third party apps on there, it's dizzying.  And you have 40 font problems. Look again at all the notations that do not start with com.apple.  They are most likely to be problems. -- Why do you have PACE on there?  And what's the Mac

     

    It works during Safe Boot.  So read this FAQ on what is turned off in Safe Book, and focus there.

    For instance, all User installed fonts are turned off.  You already know you have 40 problem fonts.  Go into Font Book application in ytour main Applications folder, and check for duplicate and corrupt fonts.

    I'll definitely have a look again. Font book showed only system installed fonts. I haven't added any.

    Maybe tomorrow I'll see about starting over. And I have no idea what Pace is or what installed it. Honestly the machine runs great, safari just crashes on some pages with animated front pages.
