I just got an iMac (love it by the way) but I'm having a problem with the Reminders app. When a reminder goes off, the alert is a weird "buzzing" sound. It's hard to explain the sound. I've restarted my Mac multiple times and nothing seems to fix it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
System Preferences/Notifications - select Reminders in the left panel and un-check 'Play sound for Notifications'.

I guess that's my only option right now. Is this a bug or intended? Instead of the typical reminder sound, it's like a buzz sound. It only does it when a reminder goes off.
I rarely use Reminders, so I don't know if that is the way it is supposed to work.
Ah, I see! I finally got to talk to Apple Support and they said the "grunting" noise was in fact normal!
