Finalcut Upgrade to Finalcut Studio

I am a little confused about the great offer Apple has for upgrading to Final Cut Studio Universal.

I understand that I need to place the order and send in the original install disk. No problem there. However, I have the install disk for FCP 3 and the install for FCP 4 upgrade.

Do I return the FCP 4 Upgrade install disk in order to take advantage of the 199.00 offer or am I only eligable uing the FCP 3 install disk at 699.00?

If anyone knows this answer please let me know.

Download the pdf order manual from Apple's web site.

You send in your latest install disc.

It's all at the bottom.

Send in your disk for final cut 4 they will send you a complete set of 5 FCS disk in exchange, its not an upgrade its the whole install dvd for final cut, in fact I have even erased my whole computer and reinstalled the whole thing to make sure I had nothing that was going to cause any problems

It should still count.

Be aware that you cannot send your disks to the USA address if you are not living in the USA. (I know that the UK Apple site has their own special process for crossgrading—not sure how it is for China.)

I am not in China now.
I am in Canada and the form I printed out only has an American address. There was nothing for Canada.

Will it be a problem sending from Canada?

It should still count.

Be aware that you cannot send your disks to the USA
address if you are not living in the USA. (I know

for crossgrading—not sure how it is for China.)

The fine print in the PDF file I see up on the "crossgrade" page says that Canada is fine. 🙂
