Downgraded to iTunes 11.1.3.8, and when attempting to launch the application, iTunes stops responding.

I did some digging around on the internet and the discussion forums, but the only issue I've seen that is close to this is that it happens when the iTunes Store is accessed. For me, the program fails to start altogher.
Also, please don't advise me to 'Download a newer version of iTunes', I am working on fixing some older iDevices.
