Bluetooth with Windows 8.1 problem

I am trying to connect an HP X4000b bluethooth mouse to my computer. I recently was running windows 7 and I had to go into the mouse bluethooth properties and enable the drivers. When I updated to windows 8.1, my bluetooth drivers will locate the mouse, but when I try to pair it, it gives me an error saying to make sure the mouse is discoverable, then it dissapears from the bluetooth driver. I cannot right click the mouse to pring up the properties to enable the drivers and i cannot find them online. How do I connect this mouse?
