PLEASE ASSIST WITH ICLOUD REMOVAL.

To Whom it Concerns, I would deeply appreciate your help:

I don't care how "wonderful" anyone thinks icloud is, i want to remove it from both my iphone 3GS and my ipad2. Please don't ask me why or try to talk me into keeping it. I'm done! I didn't actually HATE icloud until I discovered that it appears as though it cannot be removed. I've tried without success to find instructions on the web. It now appears as though I am forced to keep an app that I no longer wish to keep. Removal of apps should be a democratic process and easily available to anyone. So - Please - help. And please, if there is a way, provide instructions as if you are talking to a 5 year old - (in other words - nix the techy talk and make it simple.) I would deeply appreciate it. 😕😕😕

Not sure what you mean by "remove" iCloud from your device. You can delete the iCloud account. You cannot remove the line item in the Settings that refers to iCloud.

To Delete the iCloud Account:

1. Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll to the bottom of the screen

2. Click on the Delete button and provide your Apple/iCloud/iTunes ID

Follow the prompts answering the questions as you wish. The iCloud account will be deleted.

Remember, you will lose all Contacts that you do not keep on your phone (unless you are backing them up to iTunes), all Notes, all Photo Stream photos, all Calendar Entries (again, unless you are backing them up to iTunes), etc. If you are running Mavericks on your Mac, you will lose these items since you can no longer back them up via iTunes.

Best of luck,

GB
