Upgrading Snow Leopard to Mac OS X Mavericks

I have a Macbook Air late 2010 model with only 2 GB RAM. I was not going to opt for a Mavericks upgrade after I heard all the complains about the system getting slower and battery life ruined. I am now worried about the lack of apps I am able to download or purchase as nearly all require Mavericks as OS. Do you give me the advice of upgrading to Mavericks or to continue using Snow Leopard pls? 10x

Snow leopard is gone. Time for 10.8 or 9.

10.9 should be ok woudl be a little worried about that 2gb. In that case you can still buy 10.8

Continue with Snow Leopard on that Mac. Mavericks requires at Least 4 GB of RAM... 8 GB is better.

NOTE also that Rosetta is no longer supported in Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion.
