Accidental zoom using Magic Mouse

Sometimes when I'm using the Magic Mouse while in Safari, I unintentionally zoom in on the page. I haven't been able to figure out the gesture I'm doing to cause it. Command- will not zoom the page back out correctly; sometimes going back and then forward again will restore the page to the right size, but this doesn't always work, so then I am forced to close the tab and start over again, losing my progress. Has anyone else had this same issue, or know what gesture causes this? How do I restore the page to the original size without leaving it I need a solution, as I otherwise love this mouse and don't want to turn off gestures. Thanks.

"a double-tap on the mouse zooms the page to the current column.

Take a trip to System Preferences to disable this behavior: it will be either Mouse » Point & Click, and turn off Smart zoom, or Trackpad » Scroll & Zoom, and uncheck Smart zoom."

To return to the original size, hold down COMMAND and tap the 0 (Zero) key.

Try holding the Control key while scrolling.

This happened to me all the time. I finally looked it up and realized it was easy to cause...and easy to undo.

It occurs when you double tap on the mouse on a web page.

To undo it, all you need to do is double tap on the mouse again.

I have this issue too but neither the control, command, option or function keys reproduce the effect while scrolling either on the magic mouse nor the trackpad. Cmd-0 does return to normal zoom, however, as described below.

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016), MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

I turned off using the Control key in Accessibility to see if that helps accidental zooming. Thanks for the tip. I'll see how well I do with that.
