Anyone get shuffle to work in iOS7 slideshow?

Yes, there is a slider to turn shuffle on and off in settings, but since my forced upgrade to iOS7, slideshows do not shuffle. Not on the iPad, not on the iPhone, no matter the slider position, one photo or many selected.

Now wondering, after finding many complaints about this: has anyone, anywhere gotten a 'Photos' app slideshow to shuffle since the update to iOS7?

Trying to figure out if this is a bug with iOS7, or just the iOS7.0.6 update.

My devices are out of support so Apple will not troubleshoot for me.

iPad, iOS 7.0.6, iPad3

Ok, you're on 7.0.4 using Camera Roll. Do you have any photos synced from iPhoto? I primarily use a library from iPhoto, not using the camera on the pad/phone much at all. I'd be curious to know if those would also shuffle (ones not taken with an iOS device).

Just checked: opening camera roll, there is no slideshow option until there is a photo selected (just like the albums/moments in the main library), and selecting an image from that camera roll, it then proceeded to show me the photos in order taken, despite shuffle being turned on.

So the problem is not Camera Roll vs iPhoto/synced images.

Maybe I'm just not seeing the slideshow 'option' when I open things up. Anyway, I've taken some screenshots with the app set on a page by itself, so it's clear that's what I'm clicking on, the view of the open app (yes, there are a lot of photos in there), a view when I can actually zoom in enough to see a single photo, and then the view after I select the photo and click next:

Is there a slideshow icon I can't see on that first image of all the many photos?

Ok, I think I have it finally figured out.

If I start from the slideshow button on this image:

<http://www.flickr.com/photos/debunix/12765081523/in/set-72157641498293074>

I will get a slideshow from that image on, no shuffle, regardless of shuffle toggle under settings.

If I start from the word slideshow in this image from an album:

I get a slideshow that follows the rules set by the shuffle toggle switch in settings.

But the tricky part is that that Slideshow link at the top of the album view is NOT present on my iPhone, where I first started exploring this phenomena:

(the overlay of the accessibility panel I needed to take the screenshot interferes somewhat, but there is no blue-worded 'slideshow' at the top of that screen, even if I switch (as I did here) to horrizontal view).

This presumably is why I've gotten some replies in the iPad but not the iPhone version of this topic--it's a feature that is accessible only in Albums, only on the iPad.
