iPhone 5C stuck in recovery mode after attempting to download iOS 7.0.6

I tried to download the latest iOS 7 update over a wi-fi connection, but as soon as I accepted the terms, the phone went into recovery mode. I can't seem to get it off of the "Connect to iTunes" screen, and the only option that iTunes provides is to restore the phone.

Any thoughts on how to resolve the issue and still be able to access the content that was not backed-up before the attempted update?

Thank you for your help.

Hey nathandr,

Thanks for the question, I can understand how frustating this may be. If your iPhone is in recovery-mode, unfortunately the only resolution is to restore your device with iTunes as outlined in this resource:

If you can't update or restore your iOS device

If you were using iCloud on your iPhone, you can sign in after the restore to download your contacts, calendars, and notes. You can also download all of your past purchases (Music, Movies, Apps, etc) from the iTunes Store using these steps:

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

To avoid this unfortunate situation in the future, it is always a great idea to backup your device before performing any updates:

Thanks,
