Feb 24, 2014 9:51 PM in response to Momma Peckby Diavonex,Do you have a "Help" on your iTune?
When I tap "Help" on my PC, it'll tell me the current version and whether there's any updates for iTune

Feb 24, 2014 9:53 PM in response to Momma Peckby AnaMusic,Does it have a camera... If so it is at least an iPad 2... In which case it would be trying to Update to iOS 7... But.. you need iTunes Version 11 which your Computer will not run.
If possible you could update your computer to OS X 10.6.8 = Snow Leopard... which will run the iTunes you need.
Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
Snow Leopard Tech Specs > http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard and iTunes.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...

Feb 24, 2014 10:10 PM in response to Momma Peckby AnaMusic,Get yourself an External Hard Drive... and create a Bootable Clone Backup of your current Hard Drive...
By far the easiest way to make such a Backup, is to use something like
SuperDuper http://www.shirt-pocket.com/
or CCC http://www.bombich.com/
That way, should anything untoward happen during the Upgrade,
you will NOT LOSE ANYTHING.
(Get an EHD that is at least equal to your current Drive...)
