Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Hi there. I went to upgrade some apps and realized that the wrong Apple ID is there (my daughter's). It's greyed out so that I can't type my Apple ID over top. Is there a way for me to get rid of her ID so I can type mine in?

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new Apple ID.
Delete them and then download them from your Apple ID. This may require repurchasing paid applications.

That's what's weird. This is my computer, and I have no idea why her ID is in there. I just want to access my apps and update my computer.

It's there because those applications were downloaded with that Apple ID; iTunes and the Mac App Store put this inside each application, song, or other item(except for podcast episodes) downloaded through them.

When you buy an app from the Mac App Store your Apple ID is embedded in the licensed copy that is downloaded to your Mac. That is why you see your daughter's Apple ID. These are her apps that she bought and her Apple ID is encoded into their DNA.
okay. I have no idea how that happened. Now what happens when I want to update my own apps or buy my own? Will it let me do that? it obviously let her (or me, inadvertently) purchase an app with her ID.
If you want these apps to be yours and for you to have the ability to update them with your Apple ID, as Niel stated, you will need to delete these copies and buy them for yourself using your Apple ID.
So how do I do that? It looks like it was just Evernote, which I don't even want. I just want the App Store to remember me and only me. Like I said, I don't even know how this happened. All I know is that I have an update notification for an App I never use.
So drag it to the Trash and be done with it.
Okay. I did that and I think it's okay now. Hopefully that's the only thing, but if it happens again, at least I'll know what to do. Like I said, I'm not sure how it even happened. She has her own computer and doesn't usually use mine.
Mine is doing the same, but the email addresses belong to strangers. I noticed the incorrect address, powered down, and it changed to the address of another stranger.
A stranger's Apple ID appears on your Mac in conjunction with an update notice -
it's occurring on every app that requires a password to update and began happening today after downloading the software update.
AND the id's are not the same for every app.
