Find my friends keeps saying that I am not connected to the internet. Everything else works ( including this forum post) so that's clearly not the problem. Reset the network settings as I have read in other posts and still not working. This *****.

Update. It seems as if it does this with my Apple ID and password. My husbands works fine but mine just sits for a while and then shows the error message. ID and password work fine in the apps store.
Morblamom, did you ever get this resolved (I know it was almost two years ago)? A friend of mine is having the same problem with her iPhone 6 on iOS 9.
I Just had the same issue. All you need to do is go to settings > mobile data and give permission for find my friends to use your mobile data.
