What mono laser printers work with AirPrint / Mavericks

...for the love of God what cheap mono laser printers are AirPrint compatible and actually work with the new Mavericks iOS software?

It seems mavericks has rendered previously compatible AirPrint printers useless with no drivers available in updates. Printers are being advertised as AirPrint compatible when they are not... and it seems to be a grey area at best?

I'm chasing something like a HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w or a Brother HL-2270DW...can someone please help me? I bought a HP Laser Jet Pro P1102w being told it was AirPrint compatible (only to find out it's not AirPrint compatible with iOS Mavericks?)

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), AirPrint Compatible Laser Printers

Mavericks and iOS are two different platforms.

It may seem that way but its not the case. Connecting to an AirPrint printing is still working fine in Mavericks.

There cannot be a grey area. They are either AirPrint compatible or they don't support AirPrint.

Again with the iOS Mavericks comment???

If this HP supports AirPrint and it is connected to your wireless router, then you will be able to use the AirPrint driver included with Mavericks to print to it.

And it should also be available to your iOS device after selecting Action > Print.

...excuse my iOS type I'm referring specifically to the new OS mavericks. You haven't answered my question tho?

Printers that were previously AirPrint compatible are no longer compatible since Mavericks...the drivers are not available or not yet available... For example the P1102w I bought is listed as AirPrint compatible with previous versions of the Apple operating system but not (or not yet) for Mavericks.

I am sorry to dispute the fact that printers are being advertised as AirPrint compatible when they are not AirPrint compatible (Or not yet) with Mavericks, however this is true. I bought one!

Can anyone provide me with answers?

Yes I have followed all of the support links with HP and Apple. The issue is that it is difficult to add the printer as the Bonjour printers disappear and reappear - their connection seems unstable? When I click the share network printer box the printers appear and then disappear... After several restarts might get a stable connection long enough to add the printer but only if the printer is plugged in via USB as well. When I finally add the Bonjour printer initially it would not select the correct driver? I of course selected it manually (this problem cured itself after a few add printer attempts)... The AirPrint option for connection was not available? When I tyres to print something after what appeared to be a successful installation over WiFi it contacted the printer through the print cue and it's status indicated that it was printing, however it stalled the printer did not engage at all and in the print cue it said 'cannot contact printer". What I found peculiar is that I know if there is a secure connection over wifi that a HP printer has a solid blue light, but the P1102w never stopped blinking despite being successfully added as a wifi printer? I have tried resetting the print system and re adding the printer (when I have a stable enough Bonjour connection and can actually see the printer) and I also done a start reset of the wifi card in case there was in issue there but no success?

I have a HP410c multifunction printer that connects successfully with AirPrint as a driver so I can only assume there is a comparability issue between the HP1102w and the new OS Mavericks?

I have read a few support forums here on the same issue with this and other model printers since OS Mavericks was released as it appears up to date drivers are not available or not yet available?

Very very frustrating?

Yeah I kinda get that they aren't compatible now but what mono laser printers that are similar to the brother and the HP models with a similar price point that are mentioned in this forum?

HP support are logging into my Mac remotely on Friday in an attempt to trouble shoot the installation but I suspect this will be a waste of time? I need to get a DOA letter from HP support before the seller who sold it as an AirPrint compatible printer will accept the return of the printer? If it is definitely not AirPrint compatible as they had advertised then I shouldn't need a DOA letter?

So again I ask what similar laser mono printers are compatible with Mavericks / AirPrint?

Yes thank you I am aware of this list, but have you seen how long this list is and I still can't seem to find a mono laser printer that is definitely mavericks and AirPrint compatible similar to the HP1102w and Brother HL-2270DW with a price point around $100-150AU. Hence I posted a support forum topic here to speed up the process while I'm sifting through information... I was hoping someone out there might already have one up and running and could just give me a make and model number but it does seem like a needle in a hay stack?

Please also bare in mind that unless you work for the manufacturer and are familiar with the model numbers the Apple AirPrint list does not specify what sort of printer, it just gives a non-hyperlinked model number, so it is VERY time consuming to plough through all the models on the list to find a mono laser printer with the price point I'm looking for as well... I really hope someone out there believes me not to be ********? I do appreciate any help however... Thank you LoL!!!

Good luck, sorry the list is too long for you.
