Why did you need to purchase numbers.   It came free with Snow Leopard 10.6.8.

Look in Apple (top left) , click and go in the drop down menu to 'About this Mac'.     What does it say as the version number.

Are you referring to the 10.6 retail dvd? Numbers is part of the iWork suite (as im sure you know) and did not come on my mac I bought from the apple store with 10.6.7 preinstalled. Did I get scammed, or are you confused?

    Hi there,

I think I may have been confused.      I bought a mid 2007 imac which was loaded with Leopard because of the date.   I have no record of having bought iWorks 08 and presumed (wrongly, I now think) that it had come with my iMac purchase.  Let's wait for clarification from Knowme1.

    Thanks for the observation.

If you bought it from the App Store, the current version requires 10.9 or later. You will need to find iWork 09 or 11 to get a version compatible with Snow Leopard.

    Hello Eric,

I have iWorks 08 and it has been working perfectly with Snow leopard for 4 years or more.  Just mentioning it.
