first post so forgive crudeness. Java u51 issue

I try to update to java 7 u51. it says install complete then i try verify and it says not found or not enabled. ive triple checked and its enabled in both the browser and in system preferences with lowest security (medium)


the web is clogged with stuff about java and mac issues of late but all was meant to be fixed with u24?


id just like to know how to get it working on my system.

Is this where you got the latest version of Java from? Try downloading and installing it again.


If you're wondering how to enable Java in your web browser, the option to do that is no longer in the browser itself. Open the System Preferences and click on the Java icon to launch its settings panel. Click on the Security tab and turn on the check box to enable Java.
