hello, i bought an ipod 5 touch. and i restored it and turned it on, but when i turned it on its asking for the ex owners apple id and password. i have no idea who the old owner was, any help???

Yes, it is possible that the iPod was lost or stolen
it said this ipod has been lost or stolen and it blockes the persons apple id out.... and i cant get into it or anything, and i have no idea who the prevous owner is and i can not contact the person i bought it off... D;
I would turn it into the police. It is of no use to you.

I hope you bought this from a store, you can return it and get your money back. BUT if you bought from a person off the street or off the net, someone you don't know... I'm thinking you just got screwed! And are out the money and have an expensive paper weight. I hope I'm wrong, but I think you have a stolen iPod. If you can find the person that sold it to you return it and get your money back, but I'm thinking they are long gone. If you can not find the person report it to the police and turn it over. Just tell them the truth. You are not along in purchasing a 5G iPod the the "previous owner" would not unlock.

i was looking on amazon in stuff that i purchased, and the person i bought it off deleted there account an i cant find them >:(
Just give the police the details and the iPod. Thief's generally try to avoid the police. You may help to catch the bugger. Good luck.
My internet is lagging today... I would still turn the iPod into the police, and also, report the address to Amazon, don't know that it will help, but I'm thinking they have some method of policing users, at the very least they maybe able to block the low life from doing it again. It's not much but it's a moral victory. Better luck next time.
