Take it to an authorized service center for evaluation. If it is water damaged be prepared to spend a lot of money to get it repaired.

Wet with what? Water? Soda? Beer? Cat bi-products?

If water, you can wait a week or two for the computer to completely dry out (don't turn iton and, no, don't bury it in rice).

Historically, few MBPs fully recover from a spill and end up being scrapped. The one-year Apple warranty and the extended AppleCare protection do not cover accidental damage, and there are moisture sensors inside. If you take it in for warranty service and don't mention the spill, the sensors will tell the techs it was wet and the warranty is void.

Your best action at this point is to assume you have permanent damgage and put your homeowners'/renters' insurance carrier on notice of an accident. Many people find these policies cover accidental damage to computers, subject to the usually deductible, of course.
