Upgrading a Mac Mini

I recently acquired a Mac Mini belonging to my brother after he died. His brother-in-law, a computer programmer, wiped it clean and took it back to factory. I'm confident he did it right. Now I need to bring it up to the highest standard possible. I have already upgraded it to Leopard 10.5.8, from 10.5.4. I don't know the year of this computer. Here is the hardware overview if that would help:

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: Mac mini

Model Identifier: Macmini2,1

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed: 2 GHz

Number Of Processors: 1

Total Number Of Cores: 2

L2 Cache: 4 MB

Memory: 2 GB

Bus Speed: 667 MHz

Boot ROM Version: MM21.009A.B00

SMC Version (system): 1.19f2

Serial Number (system): YM*******YL4

Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-1000-8000-001FF346AEAC

What is the highest OS I can upgrade to? Can I do it all at once, or do I have to do it in increments? I would love to take it to Maverick, but wonder if that is possible?

1. The newest OS for that computer is Lion 10.7.5.

2. You need to go through Mac OS X 10.6.3 and 10.6.8 to get there.

3. It isn't.
