I deleted a group from my contacts in iCloud and all my contacts have been deleted, including on my iPhone! How can I recover them with doing a restore?
If you deleted them you will need to restore from a backup.
Thanks, I did exactly that in the end. I'm still a little confused as I did the restore via iTunes and, the most recent iCloud backup would not let me restore from it! Hence, I retrieved most of my contacts but, in a mess as it's an old backup!
I never use the iCloud backup option, it is incomplete. Use iTunes from now on, but you should be using Time Machine to properly backup your Mac, virtually all of the data on your iPhone is on your Mac as well. But very little of the data on your Mac is on the iPhone (usually)
