Q: I can't empty trash and I keep getting this error.."...Can't be completed...(Error code-8003)..." I have OSX 10.6.8...What can I do ??

I have trashed my time capsule backups ....HOWEVER when I click on

Empty Trash" or " Secure Empty Trash"    they do not work...     I end up with the following displayed error message: 

"The operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code-8003)

I have many gigs of files that I would like to disappear.......Any advise in terms of handling this problem would be appreciated.
