Is my MacBook a uk or us version

I just received a new MacBook Pro from a seller that was fulfilled by amazon. I became suspicious the MacBook would be a US version while it was in transit and asked the question of amazon if it was or UK version. Amazon replied

"Further to your E-mail, I have received an update from our Fulfilment team regarding whether your Apple ME865B/A 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display (Intel Dual Core i5 2.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 256GB HDD, Iris Graphics, Mac OS X) UK or US version.

This is from a UK seller and should be a UK version. It has a security seal so we are unable to open items like this as they would then need to be damaged out.

I hope this helps. We look forward to seeing you again soon."

I have just opened the MacBook that was fully sealed and was pleased to see a UK plug on the power cable but when I opened the book up it only had a $ sign and no £ sign.

I am in a quandary now to if it's a UK or a US version and whether to send it back or not. Any help appreciated in identifying.

Cjx blade,

there are three types of English-language keyboard for MacBook Pros: UK, US, and International. The US keyboard has a “horizontal” Return key, as kevkear’s image shows. The UK and International keyboards both have a “vertical” Return key, as well as an extra key between the left Shift key and the Z key. The way to distinguish between the UK keyboard and the International keyboard is that the UK keyboard has “£” as Shift-3, and the International keyboard has “#” as Shift-3. You can still use the British keyboard layout via the Keyboard pane of System Preferences if you have an International keyboard.
