Q: does my mac book pro support mirroring?

Hi,

I have downloaded the Insanity Workout and am trying to stream it through my Apple.TV but at present am having difficulties.  I have the following questions:

     a.     Am I able to Mirror or Stream to my Apple TV from my Mac Book Pro (2011)

     b.     My avi download tells me it can't play as it doesn't have the correct codec? can anybody help?
