Transferring iWeb domain file

I updated from a MacBook to a MacBook Pro running OS Mavericks. I transferred my iWeb domain.sites2 file from the previous computer via USB but it will not open on the new computer. It always opens to a blank template screen. Both computers have iWeb 3. I tried choosing the domain file manually, opening it from the desktop, manually placing it in a new Library folder--nothing works. I've changed the permissions on the old computer to Read & Write by everyone--nothing. The domain file on the old computer says 20 kb, which seems odd to be so small for a site containing pictures and audio, but the site still opens there. How can I open the file on the new MBP?

iWeb '08, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

You are most likely transferring the wrong domain file if it is 20k.

You could be transferring a domain file from the wrong Library folder.

Make sure you are transferring the domain file from your User Library directory and not your System Library directory.

To access you user Library directly hold down the option key while selecting Go from the menu bar in the Finder. It is invisible by default on OS X 10.7 or later.

It could also be that you haven't moved the domain file to the User folder on your new computer.
