I tried to update my iphone 4 & now it won't turn on unless I plug it into itunes. I don't have a computer capable of the updated version of itunes so I don't know how to get my phone working again. Help!

You will need access to a computer running the Latest Version (v11) of iTunes.
If you have an Apple Store nearby... Pop in there.
If I go to the Apple store, will it deleted everything on my phone?

Yes... Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...
After you have Recovered your Device... Restore from the most recent Backup...
