Q: Iphone 3g frozen on apple logo after update/reset

I recently bought an Iphone 3g from a friend, it worked fine until I connected it to my computer for Itunes. Once my computer recognised the phone it connected then updated/reset. After the update/reset it is frozen on the apple logo with the black background. I am new to using apple products so I am at a loss as to what to do. I have googled every solution I can think of and nothing has worked. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.

Try again to restore the phone by connecting in recovery mode, explained here:
iOS: Unable to update or restore

If this does not help, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting and Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place.

If the phone had been jailbroken before you bought it, this can also be a reason for the phone not being able to start.
Unauthorized modification of iOS can cause security vulnerabilities, instability, shortened battery life, and other issues
