Apple update of enable 3G to enable LTE..:(

I have 2G and 3G balance both. I want to use 2G for genral stuff like Messenger, Whatsapp etc. and 3G for heavy data. But iphone shows no option to disable 3G. The enable 3G has been replaced by enable LTE. So not if I turn off LTE 3G is used and not 2G
