Help Me!

Okay so im editing a movie for school for a good 6 hours now, (with fcp x 10.1.1) and I am just doing normal buisness, cutting, trimming, and suddenly out of nowhere my computer freezes (macbook pro retina 13 inch mid 2013 hooked up to monitor) and it is compleatly stuck. I try opening and closing it, commands on the keyboad, then just decided to hard shut down. My computer wakes up, and I re-open final cut. It starts to load the window laout, then events, and when it tries to load the event I was using, it crashed and said it quit unexpectadly. Ive tried restarting, moving the event folder in and out of the files, moving other folders in and out, and reopening several times. Same issue. Always crashed. What can I do???
