Q: How do you delete old podcasts from 7th gen nano

downloaded radio podcasts and one brought up old ones.  unable to delete from NANO.

How is this best accomplished?  I have tried most everything and about ready to return this device as it is so much harder to use than one in the past.

    Hello Clairejohnson,

Connect your iPod to the computer which you use to Sync contents on your iPod, Open iTunes and under Summary Tab select Manually Manage Music and Videos and click Apply. Now click anywhere on iTunes and press Ctrl+S key to view iTunes Old Sidebar view, Now next to your iPod Name in iTunes you will see an arrow click on that and you will get drop down menu where you should see Podcast folder of your iPod. Go to that folder and look for the podcast that you want to delete and Right Click on that podcast and select Delete. Once you are done with deleting the podcast on your iPod click on Sync and then disconnect your iPod and check if the Podcast is deleted after the Sync is completed.

Don't know exactly what your problem is, but this just happened to me. My problem is that I was not "seeing" exactly what episodes I had in the podcast, so every time I sing, even they were not in the list, it were copied again. Solution: go to iTunes. Then go to Podcasts at the left column (the podcasts from iTunes, NOT the ones for iPod Nano). Go to the bottom and you will see the box: "Show". At the dropbox select the option "Unplayed/My Episodes and Saved". THEN appears the real list.

Now you can see the complete list of the podcast. So, if you delete from this list and sync, then it will erase from iPod.

    Hope it helps.

    Best from Catalonia.
