Q: Glitchy Dock and toolbar after Mavericks update

After applying these updates:

my dock is now "glitchy" as well as the toolbars at the top of each screen.

To provide more detail, anytime time I hover my mouse on the bottom of the screen to bring up the dock it seems to stutter as the dock animation comes up. Also click on any window to drag across the screen seems to lag + stutter as well. I am running multiple displays but I've tried it both with multiple displays and without.
