This morning I noticed next to a couple of icons a small blue dot in the lower left area close to the icon.
When I opened each app then closed it the dot went away.
I've not seen this before but have updated to iOS 7.0.6 - any clue as to what it all means?

Even for those who have been using these gizmos since time immemorial (I'm not one of those, the phone I've had for little over a year, the iPad for even less. Mac portables are another story, have had them for over 20 years), each new OS version brings yet more sublieties such as the blue dot to learn about. I guess it is those little details that make using them fun to use and differentiate from the ho-hum rest of the herd.
Enjoy your phone. You'll still have lots of fun discovering many more entertaining and functional details.
The app is totally virgin and has not been run ever before in that device.
Either cause it has just been installed for the first time, or it has been just updated but not been used.
