Q: trying to transfer photos and video to windows 7 pc.......says dcmi folder empty?? HELP!

How in the bleep do i get my iphone to import my pictures to my computer? When i click import it says there are no videos or photos.......anyone?

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

Make sure that your phone is unlocked, before you import the pics/videos.

yes _it says the DCMI folder is empty when trying to import.....if i go to start > Computer and right click there is no import options........
