Help!
No sound whatsoever from the speaker after updating to ios 7.0.6.
Sound from earplugs & through dock OK.
I tried everything I found on the web, but nothing worked up till now.
Tips, anybody?

Be sure to try all of these steps if you do not hear sound from your iPhone speakers:
If you do not hear sound from the built in speaker, try these steps:
- Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
- Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.
- If the iPhone is in a protective case, make sure that the speaker port isn't blocked by the case.
- Make sure that the speaker and dock port aren't clogged with debris. If necessary, clean it with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush. Carefully and gently brush away any debris.
- If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
- If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
- Try turning off Bluetooth.
- If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
- Restart the iPhone.
- If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
- If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.

Same problem - speaker sound and volume buttons only work when selecting a ringtone, so the hardware is physically OK, must be a software problem caused by the upgrade.
Problem solved by installing a new speaker. So, no "free" solution :-(
Same problem. After updating my 4s to ios 7.0.6, I have no sound for incoming calls, messages, or when I plug in to charge. I can play ringtones from settings, play music, so speaker is OK. Volume adjustment works. Tried restart and reset. No luck.
Seemed to have solved this with a reset in Itunes and a recvoery from backup, bu waiting to see it it is stable.
Thanks. I did the iTUnes Reset/Recovery this morning...still same problem. I give up.
This fix worked for me... Change the orientation switch to off. Go to settings and change the hold button from orientation to mute. Exit. Turn Mute on then off and try an app. If it works you can change the hold button back to orientation. I hope it works for you!
