I pad troubles

When I hit the icon on my I pad for "notes" it will only open for a sec and then go right back to the home screen

Try to force close the app

Double tap the home button. You'll see the icons and a preview on your screen. Scroll sideways if needed to get the preview up on the screen. Flick it up and off the screen to close the app. Single tap on the home buttton (or tap on the preview of the home screen) to exit the mode, then try again and see if it'll open

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Also, see iTunes- Restoring iOS software.

So kappy u say to restore my device but I never did put any restrictions or pw on my device & if I do that won't I lose everything I have on it ? Like games & photos & contacts & stuff ? I am very illiterate when it comes to this stuff - usually all I do is play a game on it but I do have all the stuff on my phone too and backed up on I cloud as well - I'm just chicken to restore it

You will need to make a backup of your device by syncing with iTunes or by transferring what you have to iTunes for a backup before restoring it. If you have backed up to iCloud, then you can restore from that backup.

You've tried the two standard tasks for dealing with a non-functioning default iOS app. Restoring will force reinstallation of iOS which will replace the non-functioning app. You have to do it this way because you cannot delete a default app.

I don't know what more I can tell you at this point.
