I have pdf file with OCR(korean).
I did highlight on texts and saved file by Preview.app. By the way... I found pdf file's ocr data was broken. There was no ocr.
And I found it was a very well-known bug.
Do you have a plan to fix it??? I can not understand why this bug survive long time.

Nobody in these forums can tell you anything about Apple's plans.
Try Adobe Reader instead of Preview.
It is also possible that your pdf was created in a way that the contents are not retrievable, this is not an uncommon problem with pdfs in non-latin scripts.
What program did you use to perform the OCR?

I used Adobe Acrobat 11 for ocr making.
Yes... There is on prob with acrobat reader. And other pdf read what I used(skim ) don't have this problem.
Correctly, Preview.app did not mess up english ocr data. Just korean ocr was disappeared. (maybe asian alphabet only?)

I have same problem with Russian and Greek files -- Preview.app autosaved them at some moment, and all non-Latin symbols became uncopiable.
This does not depend on how the file was produced, it's a bug in Preview.app.
My solution was just to make the files I open in Preview.app read-only. But it's not a good solution if you want to add comments and so on...
No, Greek and Cyrillic alphabets disappear from the file the same way. Even in the files which were not OCRed, but made in InDesign or converted from Word.
